maias baby is here!

Ok, really now.. I think my high schooler is just about killing me here. Friday she walks into Extreme Tan where we both work, and she is holding a baby seat and diaper bag. I about had a heart attack! So I had to take a pic of her. So here is the deal...

She is in parenting class. She had to bring home this $700 doll that acts like a real baby to see how much she has learned and basically scare the kids into not having babies yet. First of all, there is very little chance that Maia wants a baby now anyway but this was fun. You see they turned on the babies at 7pm Friday night and turned them off at 10 Sunday night.

Ok, so she got it all ready, changed the outfit and even her boyfriend Sean totally got into the matching too. He objected with her choice of sox. The doll, she named BABY! not just baby but BABY BRISSE! So, here goes the weekend. We got out the video cam and waited for 7pm. All the kiddies were there waiting to see what she did when it started out.

7 comes, and about 5 minutes later comes crying! Maia lasted about 5 minutes longer and said 'be quiet BABY!"

It was hilarious...anyway she took it over the weekend and ended up pulling the batteries in the middle of the first night. She said BABY is broken! She cried like 5 times during the night...

hee hee hee. reality to any of you Moms out there? I loved it.

They came to High Schools in Puerto Rico by 1998 or 1999 but I didn't need that class because I was taking other classess to graduate. BUT I so wanted to have one for a weekend! I don't want children any time so it would be my ONLY experience with motherhood. :(

That is so funny. How can you train a baby to sleep through the night over a weekend? She needs to have BABY for at least a year to get that one under her belt. Just joking! What an awesome glimpse to see what it's really like. My daughter is is almost 17 months old now and I've had lots of practice.

Happy Mother's Day!
