Christmas Photo frame card

Are you ready to show off those cute pictures in holiday cards? I thought of this one yesterday when friend came over and needed some help creating a framed card and this one I just added to with the tag and fun ribbons. I added some glitter too! Here are the instructions for this awesomely easy card:)

materials:

inks~
Cloud white versamagic ink pad
Prussian Blue palette ink pad
Burnt Umber palette ink pad

stamps~
Ornamental snowflakes
Word Play

cardstock~
white ultrasmooth
navy cardstock

other~
misc ribbon
prismaglitter
glue marker

ok, so I cut out the frame from white cardstock, using a rounded corner frame. I also cut out the tag. These I cut with my accucut. (stamping friends are welcome to bring their paper and use this anytime)

I stamped the snowflakes on the white frame, and distressed the edges with burnt umber. I added some blue snowflakes and dotted glue on them. I dipped the frame into my sandwich box full of prismaglitter and tapped off the excess.

I stamped the SMILE in white cloud and distressed the edges of the tag. I distressed the edge of the card too with the same white ink.

at the end when I put it all together I placed some pop-dots under the tag and frame to give some depth. I think this is one way you can really add to your artwork, with layers especially.

So...do you like it? Its my oldest daughter Maia, one of her grad photos I took since she is a senior this year. Thats hard to believe in itself...but the colors worked out great for this photo card.

She is so beautiful - and the card is awesome! I am going to give it a try with my rectangle colluzzle! I bet I could cut a frame perfect with it!
