Holiday Countdown Faux clipboard

I just had to share this awesome project with you this afternoon. I made a ton of them for my holiday craft shows and love the look! Its like those cute little clipboard ones but with mine, I used a thick piece of chipboard that is padded ( I got in KS city this summer and the recycle center) and a big office clip. What a great price to make a cool gift.
First I started by painting the large piece in black, and I did them all at the same time too. Next I distressed the edges of the papers by inking them with black NOIR palette ink.
Now I stamped the workds DAYS TIL using our SIMPLEBET alphabet which right now is my fave. Then I stamped the CHRISTMAS in CLOUD WHITE versamagic. The papers I used are SCARLET (the red) and our incredible MERRY WISHES!
We have the BIG SHOT die cutter system and I used a small tag from sizzlets that is layered, for a cool look on the tags with numbers. Oh the tags too? those are in the same alphabet, which includes numbers, uppers and lowers and punctuation too!
ok the trick to the letters is my friend Lauras, as she helped me design this and work on things like how many numbers you need. If you are only doing a countdown for the 25 days, you are safe with one of each number 3-9, you need one 0 and two 1 and 2. If you are counting down further you need to count out more to stamp...
I put all the extras into a little gift with purchase box so they are easily stored right by your countdown calendar too. Oh and this is cool too... you can hang it by the big clip!
To make all the tags stick to the calendar, just glue ( I love E-6000) two washers to your countdown and then use sticky backed business card magnets cut small on the back of your tags...
YOU CAN DO IT TOO! take on this or any of my other cool projects. Send me a photo of what you have come up with yourself, and share ideas too.
have a marvelous day!

I love it Annette! We did a countdown coaster for the Mile High Angel Gathering with stapled numbers that you rip off, but I like your magnets. Very Fun!
