Graduation ideas!

Boy Howdy is it fun to join in my awesome team swaps. These ladies and our gent Michael are amazing with their talents:)

Here is the one I just send off a couple days ago. I didnt send photos of Maia in the swap cards although now I wish I had.

I started with the white cardstock which I use WAY often. Afterall, white is the base of creativity for me. I tend to use a ton of pink and black. This card has no exception to that rule with a black layer and ink:) wink...

So I used my fave swirl stamp which I know some of you must be getting tired of. I stamped it in black NOIR, my fave ink as well. Hmmm...sense a theme? :) then I stamped the date disk for June in the corner. I used my coluzzle template in circle shape, with the fantastical knife it uses. That was how I cut around the disk! I put the photo on black of course, and tucked it into the pocket. Thank goodness I have number stamps cause my writing is not so sweet to look at. I know Michele, the writing and journaling I should be proud of so I am. The number? Yeah I stamped that part.

Super gift for you

Its so hard for me to keep anything plain anymore. I guess my addiction to ribbon pays off sometimes! My great friend Betti invited me to an event this week and we had a SWEET time! She brought me a notepad to use and take notes. The whole time I was thinking...hmmm...I just have to tie this up and cover it. So the next morning while reviewing my notes, I got out this fun paper from pop rocks and covered it. Well I cant leave it alone and the need for black ink just got into me, yes again! with the move, things are not always where they belong but I have to say the one stamp that is always on a block, right in front of me is this swirl. I about lost my mind when I got the cover off my NOIR pad and couldnt find the stamp. That was a rubber emergency to say the least. I was totally upset. WHAT? It wasnt there? its always there...always! I guess I needed to clean off the table cause it was right where it was supposed to be, its home next to my laptop. ahhh, I could breathe again!

I used the retired ALPHAHIP alphabet from The Angel Company, which is my alltime fave stamp set for letters. Its perfect for words on shirts, and so much more...I was so sad that it didnt make the new catalogue that I started a petition to get it back! hee hee, it didnt work but you all can email TAC too and let them know we NEED THIS SET! :)

The ribbons? I grabbed a ton and tied them at work yesterday. What fun to explain at the tanning salon about it. I think now I should have some to sell here cause everyone loved it.

I also used Heathers best tip for adding a splash to my letters. just dots. I love Heather, she always has these great tips I borrow, forever! ha ha ha. I used hte gelly glaze pens for this in black. And of course added grey tombow marker to the letters as well to outline them for a shadow effect.

Make one today! Grab a $1 notebook or journal and go for it. They are such fun:)

Creative inspiration for my cousin

That was a fun post. I love the benefits of being an angel or just plain shopping with angels:)

Today I wanted to share a card I made for my cousin Jimmy. You see Jimmy had a brain tumor when he was about ten years old. Now he is close to 40 and it came back, in some capacity. He is in the hospital struggling after three hard surgeries. So please say a prayer for his comfort and peace:) WE ARE PRAYIN FOR YA JIM!

This weekend Grandma came to get Maddie and Adam for a sleepover since they were visiting Jim at the hospital and its close to our house. They met me at work Sunday to drop the kids off and I sent this card with a cute pink hippo that has a voice inside, and screams something like hugs and kisses to you. Its corny, but it must be tough for him right now. I hope he is feeling better really soon and can go home. BTW the tumor had no cancer! Thank you God.

The card I have made him is with our beautiful Juliette papers, and our new chocolaty brown cardstock for a base. I also used the burnt umber ink pad which I adore! Even the ribbon coordinates, papers and inks. Its so easy. the set? Abundance is...and its so good for so many occasions. I hope you like it! I did use the scorpal of course for the center fold. Now that its a habit? I use it all the time and love the results. No more crooked bent edges for this angel:)

So I am VERY back and ready for papercrafting action again, with a ton of things to share. I have one big project to wrap up and I am set! YIPEE~~~

I have been creating cause of need lately since we moved last weekend and it was a three week whirlwind. I will be posting a long update on that but for today? I just have to show you what the incredible SCORPAL can do.

First, this was a tool I didnt think I needed let alone wanted. So being truthful here, its gotta be the handiest thing since the cropodile. That is amazing.

We started to use this for last weekends Twin Cities Stamping Gala here which by the way my AWESOME ANGELETTES team did without asking me to even come:) They knew how deep I was in my home and kids...Thanks guys:) I love you. So, Gayle did a great class creation with the SCORPAL and Renee did a super make and take with it. Ok here is the cool thing...

I have posted previously about how cool this tool is and how it makes everything look so professional and just plain neat. Yesterdays project for me here was to put my stamproom into place. Its a weird shaped area of the laundry room in this house so it was a challenge. I started by pulling shelves that ended up slashing my finger so off to a running start for me:) hee hee

I sat down after measuring out the room (that was full of boxes etc...) and using my ruler to divide a piece of paper with lines etc. Well all of a sudden the light went on and VOILA! SCORPAL TIME!!! I got out the plain printer paper and whipped out a grid just perfectly fast. I then took sticky notes for my furniture in the room and whipped out little pink papers that stuck where I put them to work on the plan. Its amazing how fast it went!

So the posted photo today is a different way I bet you wont see on the SCORPAL site, but just have to try if you are moving furniture or rooms, or even a whole house with 7 people, 5 pets and WAY too much stuff. *wink

Scrapbook in a tin!

So here is my lovely daughters Maia 18, and Sara 16. madison is in there too but you cant see her hanging on my purse. She is 9 already. I tied some ribbons to the ring I used to hang the tags on my purse. How stinin cute???? the other brag tag above is my two boys, Adam 11 and Mike 14...

Here is one of our awesome classes featured at the stamping convention here in the twin cities. First of all this cool project is perfect for those of us that love a fast and fun scrapbook without making a big book! Its the scrapbook in a tin class and you are going to adore making it. We started out with these 5x7 tins that include the folded cardstock (heavy duty of course) and two covers. Now we didnt use these covers for the class so you can do all sorts of things later with them. You can make another project, and remember to use that cropodile cause that is the BEST for making holes to hang things. Its fun...

New Class! Twin Cities STamping Gala convention is coming

My favorite stamping convention is almost here! Hooray! The thing I love about this one the best is the small feeling and that there is so much room for everyone. AND that you can have enough time at each booth to really learn. Here is our second class I am showing off today. I started with the Spring Supplement from The Angel Company where we have brand new awesome project cards. If you have not gotten yours yet, let me know so we can get them off to you. The Memory Box is shown at the official TAC site too, the one they made anyway.

I started by using the Juliette papers and coordinated accessories like ribbon, and hardware. I didn’t have that awesome floral labels yet, so I used all the cute tags that come with the papers! There are gazillions of them in the kit too. There in one photo is where I edged a bunch of them with brown ink so they were ready to use when I wanted to stamp them and go.

I think it will be a great fun project to complete as well in our class. Let me know so we can get you all signed up. Classes are just under 2 hours, $25 and that includes the card box and 8 cards, enough of everything all ready to go to complete it too. Also the kits can be bought for just $15 plus shipping to you if you cant come that weekend…

You are invited to a fundraising Stamp Camp for Beth Marks.


You are invited to a great event for a woman named Beth Marks. Beth was hit by a drunk driver, while riding her motorcycle and needs our help. I am hosting an event just in time for the holidays in her name. Please join us, and participate whether you know her or not. Here is her story...

Beth Mark was riding her motorcycle home from work when she was struck by drunk driver in Ham Lake. Beth suffered serious head trauma and multiple leg fractures. She was air lifted to HCMC and remains in surgical ICU in a coma. We are doing everything we can to help Beth and her family during this difficult time.

The accident happened at approximately 4 o'clock in the afternoon on October 4, 2007. Beth was traveling eastbound on Crosstown just east of Highway 65 when the drunk driver broadsided her. She was less than 3 miles from home. The drunk driver had a blood/alcohol level of 0.19% and has multiple prior DUI incidents.

Beth has worked at Minco ( a company in Fridley MN) for 25 years. She is a great contributor to the organization and highly respected by hundreds of Minco employees.

Beth is a mother to 6 and grandmother to 5 with another grandbaby on the way.
